We Have Video

I have started a YouTube channel, Children’s Portraiture.   This should be a big aid in understanding the descriptions of what I do that I give in this blog.  Also, the blog will allow me to describe in greater detail what you are seeing in the video.

This link will take you directly to the channel.

The welcome video has a compilation of short clips from three different sittings taken during In-Store Photography Promotions.  From these sittings you can learn a lot about how I work with children and parents.

A video of two year old Walter shows a complete sitting in a child care setting.  This also shows some basic things about how I work.  I could spend several blog posts on everything that is in this one video.

We will start with just this point.  I pose the children on a table.  The images accompanying this post were all framed wide to show the table.  Is this a safety issue?  Are some children uncomfortable on an elevated table?  Sure.  But, for me, the advantages far outweigh these two considerations.  Properly handled, these two considerations are insignificant and the advantages are important.

I will go over some of the other things the Walter video shows about my style or method in the next post.

Look at the video.  You may have questions.  Some of those will be addressed in the next post.  If you don’t want to wait and want to contact me directly, please do so.  You can reach me by phone or email with the contact information on this blog’s About Me and Introduction Pages.
